January this year, a blood reliquary was stolen from an Italian church.
The piece of blood-soaked cloth was from clothes worn by the Pope when he was shot in a failed assassination attempt in 1981.
50 policemen and dogs searched the area.
This is the place where Benito Mussolini was interned after Italy
swapped sides during the war, and from where he was rescued by a team of
German paratroopers in Sept 1943 during a daring airborne raid.
Police say it’s possible that there could be Satanic sects behind the theft of the
reliquary.
