Kim Jong Un, July 2106: We have decided to make a joint force with the numerous enemies of US

Kim Jong Uns krigserkläring juli 2016:
"We have decided to make a joint force with the numerous enemies of US. (ibefattad Iran & IS) US has remained in power too long."

LUGN I STORMEN

Många människor blir oroade över konfliktnivån i vår tid.

How Kim rules: What the North Korean leader's unexpected directions for his country mean for the US, The Christian Science Monitor, Aug 2017

“Kim Jong-un has very grandiose ideas about himself and North Korea,” Dr. Go says. “He wants to make his country a regional power, not just survive, and the shortcut to getting there is nuclear weapons.”

The question is what all this means for the US and the rest of the world. After the recent tart words between Kim and Mr. Trump, many Americans were wondering, perhaps even half seriously, whether they should start building fallout shelters in their backyards again.

Such fears are premature, but containing North Korea certainly won’t be easy. Kim’s insatiable nuclear ambitions and compulsion to have Pyongyang taken seriously, coupled with Trump’s unpredictability and desire to reassert American power, mean the world may be heading for one of the more fraught periods since the Cuban missile crisis. At the very least, Kim may have now pushed his country’s nuclear program to the point where he doesn’t bend either to overtures and pressures from China or threats from the US.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of Kim’s regime has been its ability to exploit that unpredictability for its own benefit. “Being unpredictable gives them a lot of psychological power. ”It has a long history of issuing threats and ultimatums that don’t necessarily lead to action but still throw North Korea into the international spotlight. “Kim Jong-un is playing with fire,” says Go of the Asan Institute, “but so far he’s been very careful at it.”.

Managing a Nuclear-Armed North Korea: A Grand Strategy for a Denuclearized and Peacefully Unified Korea, The ASAN Institute For Policy Studies, Sept 2017

Two parts:
  • Lessons from the past
  • Policy Recommendations for the Present and the Future

North Korea’s nuclear development is a major threat to South Korea’s national security and a key obstacle on the path toward peaceful unification and prosperity for the Korean people. I
t is in South Korea’s vital interest to denuclearize North Korea completely and irreversibly and achieve unification through fundamental changes in the North.
South Korea should exercise its full capacity to realize these two national objectives, denuclearization and peaceful unification, and the first step is to have a cool-headed grasp of the situations it faces now.

Seoul should have a full understanding of the key issues to be encountered in the course of realizing the two objectives.
These include Pyongyang’s position on unification and nuclear strategy, great power politics in Northeast Asia, international dynamics on nuclear proliferation, its own ability to achieve the denuclearization of North Korea, international positions on Korean unification, and national capacity and societal readiness to accomplish peaceful unification.
That is, South Korea is required to have a clear understanding of its own preparedness, North Korea’s intentions and strategies, and the external environment surrounding the Korean peninsula.

As the ancient Chinese strategist Sun Zu said, only if we know our enemy and ourselves, can we win every battle.

New Details of North Korean Spy Radio Messages Emerge, Defence News, July 2016

The station is using old Soviet transmitters that give it a distinctive humming sound when broadcasting, said Keith Perron, an expert on spy number stations who runs the international shortwave and FM station, PCJ Radio, which broadcasts news, entertainment and serves as a relay for other content.
The hum is created due to the poor quality of transmitters and the fact that North Korea does not use microwaves to relay the message to the antennas but rather old telephone wires.

Security Interview with CIA Director Mike Pompeo - MSNBC

Both North Korea and Iran represent a danger to world peace.
They are close military and political allies. Their friends are Russia and China.
In order to find solutions to threats, one must ALWAYS take into account the whole situation for the region, and it's impact in the world.

Watch this important interview with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, by Hugh Hewitt at MSNBC , aired Jun 24, 2017.

There is no doubt the world stands before massive security threats.
Pompeo talks about security cooperation, and how security services work together with Trump, and about the threats against US and world peace today.

IRAN: THE WORLD’S LARGEST STATE SPONSOR OF TERROR
Pompeo describes Iran as “the world’s largest state sponsor of terror”. He continues:

“Today, we find it with enormous influence, influence that far outstrips where it was six or seven years ago. “Whether it’s the influence they have over the government in Baghdad, whether it’s the increasing strength of Hezbollah and Lebanon, their work alongside the Houthis in Iran, the Iraqi Shias that are fighting along now the border in Syria — certainly the Shia forces that are engaged in Syria. Iran is everywhere throughout the Middle East.”

NORTH KOREA: NO EVIDENCE THEY WANT TO BECOME PART OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION
Pompeo also talks about North Korea and how also this is on President Trump’s agenda:
“For 20 years America has been whistling past the grave yard, hoping on hope, that North Korea would turn colors, and become part of the Western civilization. There is no evidence that is going to take place.”
“Frankly, we don’t have to spur this organization (CIA) to secure America - the  warriors are here, release the bridle, and allow this agency to do the things that will serve and protect America, in ways, that frankly, the last administration did not let them do. We work in totally different ways.”

In contrast to the US strategic, analytical, and alert will to fight for its people, land and civilization, you may think the Swedish way to handling security threats are frightening:
